Boulders Beach in Simons Town

I'm at the end of a months vacation and today is my last day of enjoying the sunshine and all the other little lost bits before I've got to return to some walls and what nots and all the other pressures of work life on Monday. I've been phone, tablet, laptop and all other devices free for a month, and it's been bliss. Just to switch off and actually enjoy what's in and around my valley. Went exploring and jokingly we've been exploring from town to town and that's what it was one great adventure filled with inspiration. I'll be sharing some of the adventures with you in the weeks to come.

One of the adventures we have was to explore Boulders Beach close to Simon's Town it's also home to to a colony of African Penguins. In about 1982 the penquins decided to make Boulders their home and this is where they still are. Boulders is part of the Table Mountain National Park. There is a minimal entrance fee and totally worth it.

The African penquins are quite cute little things and if you're a penguin fan, this is the place to visit. The penguins can be observed at close range from various walkways along the beach. We just could not get enough of all the penguins and did take us some time to drag ourselves away from them.

It's just such a great way to start a day and let nature do the rest. Got us inspired.
